When i start my Lenovo laptop the display stays blank and nothing happens the button you push to start up the laptop the lights in there is blincking and cooling fan also running?

This is a hardware fault and I suggest that you return the laptop and request a replacement or that they fix it.
Possible causes could be:
- Loose/disconnected internal connections
- Power supply fault
- Graphics failure
- CPU failure
- Mother/main board failure
