It is during the 9th month of the Islamic, or Hijri, calender from sunrise until sunset...!!! The dates can change and the time can change too so wait until Ramadan because you don't know when the first day is.

It is Ramadan and it is on different days each year. It lasts for a month and starts and ends depending on the lunar cycle. Different mosques begin and end Ramadan on different days, depending on the sighting of the moon. For example, in the UK, in 2008, it started on Sep 1st and Eid was on Tuesday Sep 30st for some people.
Ramadan, the ninth month of the Muslim year, during which strict fasting is observed in daylight hours, began on 29 June this year and ends on the evening of 28 July. Almost all Muslims try to give up bad habits during Ramadan and some will pray more or read the Koran.

Ramadan 2008 starts September 1st or August 31. it is all based on where you are.

God willing Ramadan begins on August 31, 2008 and ends on September 29, 2008 for North, Central and South America. However Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia, and Australia start on September 1. The Night of Destiny (Night of Power) will be on September 25, 2008 for the Americas, God willing. It will be one day later (September 26, 2008) for the rest of the world.

The new moon times to be used for determining the beginning and ending of Ramadan are given below for UT (Universal time) - also called GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).

7:58 p.m. on August 30, 2008 (UT/GMT)

8:12 a.m. on September 29, 2008 (UT/GMT)

The information reported is based on data from the U.S. Naval Observatory, Astronomical Applications Department.

The actual time for each time zone is relative to UT.

To calculate the Ramadan start date, compare the time of the New Moon with the Sunset in your location. If the new moon is born before sunset, you should fast the next day God willing. *

Ramadan 2020 will start on Thursday evening, 23rd April 2020 (as indicated by Saudi Arabia) and will end on Saturday, 23rd May 2020. Eid al Fitr 2020 is relied upon to be praised on Sunday 24th May 2020. This is the provisional date as the genuine date of the initiation of Ramadan 2020 is dependent upon the locating of the moon.

What mouth on the Islamic alender is Ramadan?

Presumably, Ramadan takes place in Muslims' mouths. As a fast holiday, it is really only practice by those who are not eating. Since Ramadan is an Islamic holiday, it is Muslims who observe it.If the question was simply a misspelling of the question: "What MONTH does Ramadan take place in?" the answer is that the celebration takes place during the month of Ramadan. On the Islamic Calendar, Ramadan is a name of one of the months. However, this does not match up consistently with the Gregorian (Western) calendar since the Islamic Calendar has only 354 days. As a result, Ramadan comes 11-12 days earlier on the Gregorian Calendar every year. As a result, in 2017, Ramadan will be primarily in the month of June (May 26-June 25), but in 2000, Ramadan was primarily in the month of December (November 27-December 27).
