Yes, kinda. The correct way is to remove the dash because you need to remove the AC box to access the heater core. I had a mechanic that partially removed the dash and held it out of the way with a piece of 2x4 lumber which eliminated the need to remove the whole thing Yes,but dont be intimidated because I will tell you a shortcut! After bending and prying on the plenum I realized about this great Ford motor conspiracy! It goes like this,Dont give any info on how you only have to loosen the dash and pull it out 6 inches and then remove 4 bolts on the passenger top part of plenum and pull up on the heater core. Autozones info and repair site does not tell you this. When looking at the plenum and ducts it makes you think that the heater core is deep inside the plenum and it's not. I pulled the dash out completely and this was a waste of time as I also removed the plenum completely. Then I took the heater core out of the pasenger top side of the plenum. So now I have 78 nuts and bolts in a can and I have a 6 hour project on my hands which involves a dash, steering wheel, and plenum as chiltons and autozone directed down a much longer path than I needed to take.

Where are the spark plugs located in a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis?

THE SPARK PLUGS ARE UNDER THE INGNITON COIL PACKS MOUNTED ON THE VALVE COVERS. THERE ARE NUTS THAT SECURE THE COIL PACKS, YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THESE COVERS TO EXPOSE THE COILS WITH A SPARK PLUG BOOT MOUNTED ON THE END. WHEN REPLACING PLUGS BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE ELECTRODE BOOT. SOME PARTS STORES CARRY REPLACEMENT BOOTS , SOME REQUIRE THE COMPLETE COIL REPLACEMENT WHICH CAN BE VERY EXPENSIVE.
