Never. The Taurus engines...both the Vulcan and the Duratec V6s...both have a timing CHAIN that lasts the life of the engine, not a timing belt.
In a 2004 Ford Taurus : The 3.0 L , " Vulcan " V6 engine has ( 1 timing CHAIN )
The manual states that the timing belt on a 2004 Accord V6 should be replaced at 105,000 miles.
Timing BELT - recommended replacement is at 105,000 miles.
When do you replace the timing chain on a 2005 Suzuki Grand Vitara?
The Mustang V6 does not have a timing belt it has a timing chain which normally will last the life of the engine.
If the timing belt has not been replaced during prior visits the 105k interval is when it should be replaced regardless of inspection. It should be checked at 60k and 80k for the 1.8T, and if there are signs of wear at that time replaced.
No, the timing chain should last the life of the engine. No maintenance is required.
Never. This is not an item you replace at a scheduled time or mileage. It should last the life of the engine.
I would go with the recommended service interval found in the Owner's Manual.
All BMWs since E36 have had timing chains not belts so they never need replaced.
I'm not a mechanic / technician but on a 2004 Ford Taurus if you have the 3.0 liter DOHC " Duratec " V6 engine you would because it has a timing chain going to each cylinder head
No timing belt has a chain.Does not need replacing
