11 grams because all is reacted and there is no reactant left over, although if there were only 3 grams of carbon there would have to be 6 grams of oxygen for this to be viable as carbon dioxide is CO2 so the question asked was itself wrong.

How much carbon dioxide is formed when 24.0g of carbon is reacted with 100.0g of oxygen?

24.0 g of carbon reacts with 64.0 g of oxygen to form 88 g of carbon dioxide.

What gases are produced and consumed during photosynthesis in plants?

carbon dioxide is consumed and oxygen is produced

Why is more carbon dioxide being produced?

Carbon dioxide is being produced because our bodies breathe in oxygen and carbon dioxide is pushed out of the lungs.

What happen when one molecule of carbon combines with two molecules of oxygen?

carbon dioxide is produced.

When methane is burned with oxygen the products are carbon dioxide and water If you produce 18 grams of water from 8 grams of methane and 32 grams of oxygen how many grams of carbon dioxide were pr?

If all of the quantities stated actually reacted, the law of the conservation of mass shows that the mass of carbon dioxide produced would be 40 - 18 or 22 grams.

What is the gas taken in and produced by photosynthesis?

The gas taken in by photosynthesis is carbon dioxide (CO2), while the gas produced is oxygen (O2).

What is produced during the process of cellular respiration?

Carbon dioxide is produced during the process of cellular respiration During cellular respiration energy is released in the form of ATP. Oxygen is reduced to form water and Carbon of glucose combines with oxygen to produce carbon dioxide. Thus, carbon dioxide, water and energy are produced during cellular respiration.

The plants in the bottle use oxygen for respiration. Explain why does the amount of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the bottle garden stay the same over a week?

Because Oxygen is produced during photosynthesis or carbon dioxide is produced during respiration or carbon dioxide is used up during photosynthesis

Which gases are involve in photosynthesis?

There is only one gas. It is the CO2 gas.

What law is shown by the fact the mass of carbon dioxide which forms as a product of a reaction between oxygen and carbon equals the combined masses of the carbon and oxygen that reacted?

This is the law om mass conservation.
