The first 3D television was demonstrated publicly by John Logie Baird in the 1950s. He was in fact the inventor of the world's first working television system, shown off to the public in 1925.

The first 3D television was a success although the technology of the time simply couldn't support the introduction of 3D television as a commercial product.

3D goes back even further with film and still images being shown in 3D back in the nineteenth century.

The latest release of 3D televisions is therefore not a new concept but it appears because the technology makes it a viable product.

The first 3D television was demonstrated by John Logie Baird in 1928. It was experimental and never went into production but nonetheless, represented the world's first 3D television technology.

It has taken the industry another eighty years to reach a point where 3D is commercially viable and technically straightforward enough to release as a mainstream product.

I read about it on an article in a magazine but can't remember which one. It went something like….An engineer for a top electronics maker found out his wife had cancer. She had to stay in the hospital 24-7 during grueling chemotherapy treatment. Even though she was weak, she still had no form of entertainment while confined to a hospital bed. Her husband decided to change that. Him and his co-workers made a TV that showed images which looked like they were directly in front of the person watching. This wasn't called 3D then but it was the same effect. He gave his wife the TV and his wife enjoyed it while she went through her treatment. Miraculously, she recovered in half the time necessary for treatment. Him and his wife now donate 3D TVs to every major hospital throughout city.

Well, friend, while buying a 3DTV, the first and foremost thing to be kept in mind is the use of technologies in 3DTV. Are the 3d glasses batteries replaceable in case they are damaged?

No friend! If the batteries of the 3DTV glasses get damaged, they cannot be replaced but we need to purchase new set of glasses. But we do not have to face the problem of batteries or charging if we have the FPR 3DTV. LG has launched this superior 3DTV technology to get rid of problems like batteries and charging.

Why is 3D TV so popular right now and High Definition is not?

3DTV isn't necessarily popular yet, but it's gaining ground. The idea is still relatively new and HDTV is still more popular than 3DTV. If 3DTV gets popular enough, it may become the new standard for television but that won't happen for a long time.

well you see the technology is still quite young , so buying a 3dtv now will probably be a loss in the upcoming year. My suggestion would be to wait, so that they could do some adjustments

Why researchers say that the fpr 3dtv is a new generation 3dtv According to the researchers FPR 3DTV is a new generation 3DTV.Why they say so?

The researchers in question are likely to be LG staff who are paid to support the idea of passive 3D technology. It is hardly a new generation of 3D as it is based on 3D movie technology that has been in use for decades. LG have chosen to use this older technology rather than the latest active 3D adopted by other manufacturers.

I had been at my friends home last night and tried his Samsung 3DTV with 3DTV glasses. But I got terrific flicker on it. please tell me can any 3DTV provide flicker- free 3D images.?

It sounds like his Samsung either had a fault or was simply not installed correctly. It takes a few minutes to make sure they work properly. A moment with the manual may well fix the problem. So, Samsung is as good as any for good quality 3D images.

What are the benefits of 3DTV?

The major benefits of 3DTv is being able to take part in and enjoy the 3D experience. Watching movies where object appear real and almost jump out of the screen at you is amazing. Some sports are even broadcast now in 3D which allow for the viewer to be watching the game as if in person.
