The approximate time for the DVD release is currently late 2012. It will include all of The Legend of Korra episodes in Book One: Air. The episodes will go from episode one ("Welcome to Republic City") to episode 12 ("Endgame").

∙ 9y agoBook 3 aired from June 27, 2014 to August 22, 2014, but starting July 25, 2014 was only available online. The premiere date for Book 4: Balance is on October 3, 2014, but it will also only be available online at Nick.com and not on the TV.

When the Legend of Korra starts, you see that Korra proved to be the Avatar. Of course, in order for there to be a new avatar, the old avatar must die. So the second Korra was born, Aang died.
