Yes, this is relatively normal. The itching is just the healing process. However, if it is burning or really uncomfortable, there could be a problem.
ya, it's OK. i have five ear piercings and they each itched as they healed. it's a natural reaction... you should be a little worried if they don't itch. so enjoy :)
