You arein over your head. Take it to a professional. You have neither the knowledge or tools to repair.
Remove passenger side fan that is attached to the radiator. Drain freon out of system. Remove electrial plug on compressor. Remove bolt that is located between the two hoses on an aluminum block attached to compressor. Remove the serpentine belt. Remove the 4 bolts that are located on the radiator side of the compressor. You now have it off but be careful not to damage the radiator when lifting it out.
the ac condensor on a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville is right in front of your radiator not hard to change at all.
This is normal it does it to cycle the freon
Purchase a Freon recharge kit. Connects the Freon hoses to the ports on the air conditioner compressor. Release the Freon into the compressor.
compressor
Reclaim the freon from the 1987 Fiero. Remove the ac belt, then disconnect the lines from the compressor. Unbolt the compressor then bolt in the new one. Put the hoses and belt back on, then pull a vacuum on the system before filling with new freon.
if you havent ever changed one before then you shouldn't mess with it, the freon inside the compressor is poisionest, it needs to be drained, new compressor installed, filled with dye to test for leaks, drained again and then re-fill with freon.
The compressor wont turn if the freon levels are too low! It has a cutoff so if the freon all escapes the system the compressor wont be damaged.
You will need to connect your Freon bottle to the low pressure port on your 2002 Chevy Cavalier air conditioning compressor. Release the Freon into the compressor. A Freon recharge kit will come with everything you need and instructions.
If you are talking about removing the freon in the a/c system then you will need a freon reclaimer.............
An AC compressor compresses the freon and circulates the freon through the system. An air ride compressor pumps compressed air into air bags to level the vehicle and/or alter the handling of the vehicle.
yes there is a seal on the front of compressor that can go bad and leak freon.
