Once you arrive, you either taxi in or are dropped off or you park your car and have a shuttle bus take you to the airport. Airports are broken into sections called terminals. You go to the terminal that has the airline you are flying and check-in. Often your ID is checked by the check in agent and …your baggage is weighed and sent off to the plane and to be screened. You then go to the security area, here is different in different countries, but in the USA (where I am) you must remove shoes and place in a plastic bin, put your laptop in a separate plastic bin also, you stand in line and when it is your turn, your bin goes through an XRAY machine and someone scans it. They then have you walk through a machine of some sort that detects for metal or other powders depending on the machine. You must also show the security agent your identification before entering the line as well as your plane ticket. Once you have passed security you can head to the area you need to wait, or if you have a lot of extra time most airports have food courts or shops to look through. Once it is time for you to board the plane, you must be in that area of the gate. Each entryway to a plane is called a gate and they are usually a combination of numbers and letters such as (B5). Depending on your airport and airline, you do need to be at the gate waiting area 30 minutes before it is time for your flight. Depending on the airline, you may be called in sections or all at once, etc. You will hand your ticket to someone at the gate you will scan it and you continue on through the jetway (that connects the airport to the plane) and find your seat in the plane. If there is no jetway, you may have to take a shuttle bus outside of the gate to your plane or even walk outside out of the gate onto the plane. (MORE)

With a territory of 110,994 square kilometers (42,855 sq mi), Bulgaria ranks as the 16th-largest country in Europe. Several mountainous areas define the landscape, most notably the Stara Planina (Balkan) and Rodopi mountain ranges, as well as the Rila range, which includes the highest peak in the Ba…lkan region, Musala. In contrast, the Danubian plain in the north and the Upper Thracian Plain in the south represent Bulgaria's lowest and most fertile regions. Bulgaria comprises portions of the separate regions known in classical times as Moesia, Thrace, and Macedonia. About 30% of the land is made up of plains, while plateaus and hills account for 41%. The mountainous southwest of the country has two alpine ranges-Rila and Pirin-and further east stand the lower but more extensive Rhodope Mountains. The Rila range includes the highest peak of the Balkan Peninsula, Musala, at 2,925 meters (9,596 ft); the Balkan mountain chain runs west-east through the middle of the country, north of the Rose Valley. Hilly countryside and plains lie to the southeast, along the Black Sea coast, and along Bulgaria's main river, the Danube, to the north. Strandzha forms the tallest mountain in the southeast. Few mountains and hills exist in the northeast region of Dobrudzha. (MORE)
