Horse rescues are always glad for volunteers, but the fragile state of mind of some horses means that not everyone is suited to be around them. Volunteer to groom the horses who are ready to be adopted. When you're able to handle other horses, I'm sure they'll let you know.
Try a local animal shelter or SPCA. Or a humane society. Sometimes even a local zoo appreciates volunteers. Generally vet offices don't like that young of volunteers but there are many other options.
You would have to have an adult with you, but local animal shelters will except volunteers anytime.
(S)He can volunteer almost anywhere. Although animal shelters are (probably) the most chosen and favored for younger volunteers, don't be afraid to try new things.
Go to jobs.com
it all depends on the shelter or rescue
Depending on where you are located and how old you are there are plenty of opportunities. If you are experienced, check around the local stables and see if they will take you for a job there. Or if you are looking for volunteer work, look for horse rescue centers.
The best way to do this is to go down to your local animal shelter and volunteer your time. They will have you sign a few documents but that about it.
Volunteer at the local search and rescue center or animal shelter
for literature you could volunteer at the library to read to kids for fun, for animals you could volunteer at the local pound/animal rescue center but you could also/possibly volunteer at your local zoo, hoped i helped!
If the local byelaws say no - then the answer is also NO.
You can volunteer at your local animal shelter ,vets office,or animal sanctuary. You can also start an animal rescue group.
Look for therapeutic riding centers or horse rescue leagues. You can start by searching google (or similar search engines) and asking around. If you stop by a local barn, they can most likely point you in the right direction. If you're not looking for volunteer hours and just want to spend time around horses, many private barns are looking for help (this is mostly just a couple hours in the morning or evening, including feeding/leading in and out, etc.)
there is one in the prairie (however you spell it) and one in the forest. Look on the map and there should be a horse shoe. follow the path that leads to it. That is a competition. when you are at the forest look at your map again there should be another horse shoe . follow that and when you arrive that should be another competition. hope this helped! xxx
I would recommend that you never buy a horse too quickly as it is a very big step to take and you should make sure you have exactly the right horse for you. Also if you buy a horse too quickly you might not catch things like illnesses, vices, or some other problem until it's too late. You can get horses through magazines or newspapers' classifieds or ads sections or you can look online for somebody selling a horse near you. You can also look for a local horse rescue center if you decide to rescue a horse. You can also go into a local tack or feed store and look at their notice board (most have one) for ads from people selling horses.
You could go to your local nursing home, or senior center. They love it when people come to volunteer. It's rewarding for them and you ;)

Some you have to work there.. Some you can volunteer. Call your local animal shelter and see if they have a volunteer program.
