Copyright is ascribed to Answers Corporation, as appears in the notification at the bottom of each page. The policy on third-party content (e.g., your contributions) is much the same as the comment policy on most websites:

We do not claim ownership of any Postings that you may submit. However, by submitting Postings to any of the other Services, you grant us, our subsidiaries, affiliates, successors, and assigns a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully-paid, non-exclusive, and sub-licensable license to use, copy, display, distribute, modify, adapt, publish, translate, publicly perform and publicly display the Postings (in whole or in part) and to incorporate the Postings into other works in any format or medium now or later known.

The complete notice is at the link below.

The thing that matters more than the number of contributions is the quality of contributions. On WikiAnswers, even though you may have 1,000 contributions, many may be vandalism. The better the quality, the better the chances. Also, there are a few requirements that need to be met. See the related question below.

No, contributions on one WikiAnswers account can not be added to - or merged with - any other WikiAnswers user account. In other words, the contribution count to each of the 6 WikiAnswers sites is separate; there is no shortcut to a "central" place of keeping tabs on your contributions to the various sites.(See the Related question for information on how to become a Linguist.)
