Canada is known for its ski resorts, and here in the New Jersey, New York area their is a popular ski resort as well. France, Austria, Bulgaria also have great ski resorts that will make any holiday special.

∙ 8y agoI am an experienced skier in Western Canada. -I would not dream of skiing anywhere except a recognised and patrolled ski mountain. - Skiing "mostly anywhere" can be extremely dangerous. Snow covers crevasses, gulches, fallen trees and many other hazards. Avalanches are also very dangerous in the days following snowfall.
In skiing the dozens of mountains in the Pacific Northwest, I have seen many accidents, even on controlled areas. In western Canada and Washington state we have entire teams of very experienced Mountain Rescue specialists who risk their lives and waste time rescuing the idiots who have skiied "mostly anywhere" .
