Genesis 2

"And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground the LORD God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pishon: it is the one which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. And the name of the second river is Gihon: it encompasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: it goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. "

The present day location cannot be pinpointed due to the total upheaval of the landmass and points of reference during the Flood of Noah's day.

According to the biblical account, Adam and Eve were the first persons in creation and lived about 6,000 years ago, when the world was created. Before they ate the forbidden fruit, they lived in the Garden of Eden, but were ejected by God for their sin. Theologians have long wondered where the Garden of Eden was, but usually assume that it was somewhere in the ancient Near East.
However, we have ample evidence of human settlements long before 6,000 years ago, meaning that the biblical account of Adam and Eve and the genealogies of their descendants are not literally true. Moreover, we know from Archaeology that humans have lived on earth for millions of years - long before the time attributed to Adam and Eve.

So, Adam and Eve did not really exist. And, if they did not exist, neither did the Garden of Eden.

The location of the Garden of Eden is not known for sure, but our best estimate is that it was not far from the shore of the Persian Gulf and was destroyed in the Flood.

What was Satan's main motive for tempting Adam and Eve to sin?

Opposition to God is Satan's main motive for tempting Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were created by God. God intended for the couple to know good and live forever. So Satan was motivated to get Adam and Eve to know evil, disobey and disrespect their creator, and die.
