Of course the chronicles disagree on exactly where the battle between Arthur and Modret occurred, that battle after which Arthur soon vanished. The Prose Percevalhowever places that battle in Ireland, apparently from a mention in Wace that Modret was retreating towards Ireland.

The King Arthur who lived in the 500s AD/CE never lived in castle like the man in the legends. The first castle was built about 500 years after the real King Arthur lived. Allot of people think that King Arthur lived in the Middle Ages-which he did not-He lived in the Dark ages which was 500 AD/Ce to 1000 AD/CE.
