Myths come from ancient civilizations such as ancient Greece, Mayans, Rome, China, and the Native Americans.
Myths are used to explain what happens in the world around them...
Lots of stupid myths in the Philippines. In Luzon, in the mountains of Cagayan; there are stupid myths about "chanaks" and "aswangs". Meaning demon-babies and aswangs, meaning half-vampire and half-human. Also, Filipinos are prone to a lot of religious dogma and completely crap myths. Unlike the traditional myths of Buddhism and Hinduism, those are "cool" myths. But myths in the Philippines are just plain stupid and meant to scare people.
The myths surrounding the creation are not important, for they only lead to confusion. One has to seek for the truth which cannot be found in myths. Either a truth is or it is not.
the purpose for the creation of myths was that people did not know much about the world around them so they made myths to try to explain the world around them.
