O Foghladha, from the word foghladha, meaning "plunderer".

The name is first found in the southern Ireland city of Waterford, which boasts not only a rich maritime history dating back to its' Viking establishment in 914 A.D, but is also former home to the world-renowned Waterford Crystal factory.
