Mandolin have a long history as they have steadily evloved from more besice designs. From the lute came the mandore in the fourteenth centure, and during the 17th and 18th century they evolved again into something you may recognise as the deep bowl mandloin. This then traveled around the world to be given the tear shape blue-grass players are familiar with today
