OK! I did a lot of research for you and I found out that it can live in moist or dry soil. Since it can live in the desert, it can survive in dry soil. It does not have strong roots but can absorb a lot. Just remember not to drown your plant if you have one, because it would most likely die. Hope I helped you! =)
Because your face smells like cheese balls
They mostly grow in soils which are very wet, at least for part of the year. These conditions mean they are short of nitrates, which is why they need insects to make up the deficit.
in swamps and wetlands.
It grows in sand.
in a swap.
Except for pygmy sundews, yes.
They are yellow and red.
nonvasular
Drosera sp.
Sundews will eat worms if the worms are small enough to be held captive, killed and digested by the secretions from the sticky glandular hairs on the sundew leaf.
how big can it grow
Sundews can survive without eating meat if they are growing in good soil. They only consume insects because the soil they grow in lacks important nutrients.
carnivorous plants for example sundews
no -sundews can trap flies, but sundews are members of the Genus Drosera whereas Venus Flytraps are of the Genus Dionaea. Sundews have a different technique for trapping insects, which involves using sticky dew, and using tentacles that can wrap around prey. Venus flytraps use trigger hairs to quickly snap their trap shut. Refer to related link for more information
Sundews are green, but they can also have red and other bright colors that attract insects. Sundews use green chlorophyl the same as other plants to make their food. The insects they trap provide nutrients that are lacking in the soil they live on.
insects (e.g flies & mosquitoes. If you have a sundew and want to feed it, you can use fostered bloodworm ,small crickets ,and ants.Never feed them raw meat this will kill them!
Sundews and venus fly traps are producers but they are also consumers. Since they make their own food by photosynthesis, they are producers. To make that food, they must trap and digest insects and absorb the nutrients that are missing from the soil they grow in. That means they are also consumers.
