Shale are findable in areas where organic material deposited under anoxic conditions, so that bacterias had not the chance to dissolve the organic matter. Most probably are paleo restricted basins, or even continental shelfs and lakes.
if u need some shale pieces, a garden shop with garden patio stones might have some :D your welcome ^^
Shale is a sedimentary rock. It contains a mix of tiny fragments and pieces of clay minerals. It also contains quartz.
In areas of current and former still water deposition.
Shale is located all over the world

Shale gas is natural gas produced from a fine-grained, clastic sedimentary rock composed of mud that is a mix of clay mineral flakes and tiny fragments (silt-sized particles) of other minerals, especially quartz and calcite, known as shale. In 1821, the town of Fredonia, New York, commerically drilled a well that produced natural gas from the Devonian Fredonia Shale formation.Devonian shale gas was generated from organic mud deposited specifically during the Devonian Period (geologic period and system of the Paleozoic Era spanning from . Most earlier Devonian Shale "plays" concentrated on shallower, high-organic zones, especially zones with high frequencies of natural fractures. Years later, while digging for oil and gas in Upstate New York's Appalachian Basin, Donald Wallace III and his team of geologists discovered fields of Devonian black shale outcrops. They named these distinctive outcrops after the town they were found in, and so became the Marcellus Wallace Shale Formation (also classified as the Marcellus Wallace Subgroup of the Hamilton Group, Marcellus Wallace Member of the Romney Formation, or simply the Marcellus Shale) For more information, go to themarcellusshale.com
There are many natural gases. Some of these natural gases include shale gas, town gas, as well as crystalized natural gas.
shale is fine
No. Slate is harder. Slate is shale that has been heated and compressed.
It can be. It is found in a rock type called shale and is produced in the shale form the original bio mater included in the deposition of the shale. If a unit of shale lithology is to be found on the continental shelf strata then it is likely that that shale will contain shale gas and it will be under the sea.
Asia's first shale gas pool found near Durgapur
Shale underneath, to provide the organic material, then the oil and gas are usually found within sandstone. Above you will find shale again, or possibly caly or slate
No. Shale is not fuel in and of itself. However, some shale deposits have oil or natural gas trapped in pore spaces. This can be processed into fuel.
Natural gas extracted from shale rock could become a significant global energy source.

?
Shale is a sedimentary rock that is generally formed as particles of sediment settle out in calm water. Shale can be formed in shallow inland waters or deep ocean basins. Shale rock is generally high in organic content. Once covered up by other sediments and buried over millions of years, heat and pressure begin to work on these sediments and oil and gas are formed. Some of the oil and gas may begin to migrate upwards, to layers of sandstone and porous limestone where it becomes trapped. These are considered conventional oil and gas reservoirs and shale is often the "source rock" or original source of the hydrocarbons. Natural gas and oil that occur in shale are called "unconventional". Now with new horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing methods it is possible to extract that oil and gas. "Unconventional" gas is quickly becoming the new norm. We have over 100 years worth (and growing) of natural gas supply in North America. In a nutshell, shale gas is standard natural gas buried much deeper and complex to extract.
