Wikianswers is not a venue to provide "how to" information that can lead to serious personal injury.
Seek the skills and experience of a professional body piercer.
The reasons you should not attempt to pierce your self should be obvious, but for those who think it's a "DIY" project, here's some food for thought.
Infection and contraction of MRSA, HIV, Meningitis, Hepatitis and Tetanus are all very serious health issues, MRSA is an antibiotic resistant bacteria that can in most cases land the unlucky individual in the hospital (and has been responsible for serious deformities and deaths). These infections has been caused by using unsterilized equipment and materials. Sterilization is not achieved by pouring alcohol over needles and jewellery, or burning these items over a fire or exposed flame. Microorganisms live in the fine fissures and cracks in needles and jewellery and only the high temperature and pressure of a steam Autoclave can render these and many other bacteria harmless.
The above reasons alone should be enough to sway anyone from thinking they can do it themselves. Professional body piercers have years for hands on training and education to enable them to make any piercing "look simple", when in fact they are considering dozens of things when they lay out a piercing and actually do it. So consider your lack of knowledge, training and skills before you attempt to do any self piercing, once you pierce it, it's damaged tissue. This makes it even more difficult for a professional piercer to leave you with a great looking piercing when the area we have to work with is damaged by self inflicted attempts.
Yes lip pierceings are safe
Yeah. Some tongue ring balls are pretty big and may look tacky on lip rings.
Get a new ring, or if it's just that rings are uncomfortable for you, get a stud.
A lip ring is a piece of jewelry that goes in a lip piercing. It's usually a hoop.
You can buy toe rings and use them , they look real to . (:
You can find bioplast lip rings online if you look around. Bioplast is a really flexible, soft plastic
Well , if you want to put in the labret What you do is you Take off the little ball or stud at the end and set it aside , then pull your lip forward and put the screw part through your hole from the inside. If you haven't got the right gauge what i did was i put the screw part from the outside and the stud from the inside to break the skin , then it was perfect Happy Piercing xx Iris.
Get the piercing done professionally.
i would assume so since you're just creating a hole in your lip
Some people wear lip rings for style, some just to be defiant toward their parents and others just because they want to be like evertone else
i have an off center labret i love it
no, you should wait atleast 2 weeks, and you should have been advised by the person that pierced your lip to go back to them after 2 weeks to have it Downsized.. and you can only put Lip Rings or Studs that are made of 'Surgical Steel' because you can have a very bad allergic reaction if it is something else
