If your pool has a water fill, there is usually a valve inside a green box somewhere nearby. Or, sometimes, the waterfill is tied in with your sprinkler system. As a last alternative, look around your swimming pool equipment to see is there is a water faucet connected to the Plumbing. It will be usually be a much smaller pipe (3/4" to 1").
To install the water return fitting above the ground pool, you have to switch off the source. After this you can then install the water.
Most well water must use a pump. Simply switch the pump off.
No. The Main is source of water for that as well.
You have shut off all the water to a residence.
Pool, Body of water, Sprinkler, Fire Hydrant, hose
the hot water valve shut off valve shuts off the hot water. The cold water valve shuts off the cold water. ;()
YES THERE IS A LOT OF TRASH THAT CAN GET IN THE VALVE TO MAKE IT LEAK. YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO CLEAN IT FURTHER I found that with the pump running, the pool water was rising as apparently the pump was pulling water out of the ground. This was with the pool water low and the skimmer plugged off in order to try to filter after a bad storm. When I shut off the pump, the pool water went down as the valve did not seat properly.
With the water main shut of valve of course
On any water heater, the shut off is on the incoming cold pipe.
One shut off the gas /electric other emergency switch FIRST
If you have your own water heater there should be a shut off at the heater. If not I would look under the kitchen sink. There may be shut off valves at each fixture. If there is a central water heater in the basement, there would be a shut off to each unit.
Lakes and Ponds don't have Pumps... As long as the water is clean, jump in! i just wouldn't suggest ingesting the water
