The people of Point Pleasent (wher the Mothman was seen) are divided into two groups: 1 belives the Mothman caused the collapse of the silver gate bridge on December 15th, 1967 at about 4:58 p.m. in the middle of the rush hour. Group two belives the Mothman was there to warn them of the disaster. However, it has never attacked a human being (only animals) and doing so to a 5ft.tall person would be easy for a 7-8ft tall monster. So it is a continued debate between weather the mothman is benevolent (good) or malevolent(bad) with good in the lead.

yes the mothman was first sighted in west Virginia in nov.1966 the last sighting was in 2008 not 2007 they saw him Jan. 9 2008 in the forest in Florida.they tried to shoot him but they didnt because they couldn't tell if it was a human or a crutare it escape and one man clamied he saw red eyes wiyh big blackish wings.

people who first saw him were scared but one women actually drove up there to see if it was just a prankster but the women actually saw it and saw no way it was a prankster after all no way some one can run the speed of a car to peer into a window right beside a car so it's possibly real cause after the silver bridge fail it never showed it's ugly face again. it was first seen in the TNT area where the chemicals mixed in the mud so people say a bird was mutated it's name came from a comic book villain. but some people believe that mothman caused the bridge fail by pulling a special piece off. but scientist built a replica and said since the bridge was full of cars that the special piece broke off , they also said maybe the moth-man was warning people by scaring them home to stay away from the bridge. i believe god created mothman to warn everyone but once the bridge failed god thought mothman was the only way to get there attention but it was time to let mothman into it's "animal" heaven. people were so memorable of mothman they even built a statue of him look up mothman statue on Google images to see it. and it might be possible that the mothman is bad luck, when he was at the silver bridge, the bridge didn't collapsed because he was doing things to the special piece of the bridge,when he was on the bridge the mystical connections of karma in bud luck form possibliy making the bridge collapse.

The "Mothman" is a creature within Point Pleasant. It is a half-man, half-moth creature saying to always be at certain places right before such accidents happen, like when he was at a bridge right before it collapsed. There is a picture of him on the bridge, you can google it. There is even a statue of the Mothman somewhere at Point Pleasant. no but research shows after the sightings peoples eyes hurt preventing them from driveing on the bridge also he left notes warning people all in all mothman din't kill anyone but infact saved many lives.
