That Scripture you refer to is in James4.2. James also says his first chapter about receiving from the lord. And The Bible also says in Philippians 4.6 -
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
So the answer to your question is no, not of people but of the Lord God
