∙ 12y agoBecause it was a prediction made by Zechariah (Zech 9:9-10) "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy kingdom cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass." This prophecy was fulfill with Jeus's Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem as out lined in Matthew 21:4-5, Mark 11:9-10, Luke 20:39, and John 12:13-15.
