  • Please read Ecclesiastes 3:19-22. You can read it in your Bible and I will post it here in my Bible's version (The Message). 19-22 Humans and animals come to the same end-humans die, animals die. We all breathe the same air. So there's really no advantage in being human. None. Everything's smoke. We all end up in the same place-we all came from dust, we all end up as dust. Nobody knows for sure that the human spirit rises to heaven or that the animal spirit sinks into the earth. So I made up my mind that there's nothing better for us men and women than to have a good time in whatever we do-that's our lot. Who knows if there's anything else to life? Also please read Romans 8:19-21, Luke 3:6, Psalm 36:6.
  • My Wednesday night teacher told my class, "Why would God make something we love so much when we can't ever see them again after they die?" has that question ever come into thought?, I believe animals go to heaven
  • According to The Bible (Revelation), animals do go to Heaven. I can't find any reference in the Bible that animals also go to hell.
19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

  • Animals cease to exist after they die and do not go anywhere. They are simply gone. They live on only in our memories.
  • I disagree respectfully, In the new book "In Heaven Kittens Play," author Nick Sacco shows us that the loss of a pet through death is not the end but only the beginning. A special garden cared for by a loving angel awaits those creatures who pass over. There they play in peace and without fear, forever loved by this special being.
  • I don't really know if animals go to heaven or hell. but read this verse: matthew 5:6 those who want to do right more than anything else are happy. god will fully satisfy them. so we know that god could if he wanted to, especially to those whom are good. but my hypotheises is yes. in the bible god says heaven is not only awesome but its a whole new world even better than earth. but i don't see how heaven could be even better than earth without pets, right? and he also says if he's a king he should be a servant to his people or he isn't worthy. and he wouldn't want heaven to be miserable. and i think the real answer is yes, seriously, listen to this verse: matthew 7:7 continue to ask, and god will give to you. continue to search, and you will find. continue to knock, and the door will open for you.

Answer:

According to the Bible... God gives us a "pattern" of heaven in the design of the Temple... in which the "third heaven" where God's throne is [the Ark of the Covenant] in the "Most Holy Place." And it is totally "off limits" to men.

Only the "high priest" ever had any access to "heaven." The "high priest" -- who always pictured Jesus Christ.

"For verily He took not on Him the nature of angels; but He took on Him the seed of Abraham... that He might be a merciful and faithful HIGH PRIEST in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people." (Heb.2:16-17)

"...consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus..." (Heb.3:1).

"Seeing then that we have a Great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our profession." (Heb.4:14)

According to the Bible... this "picture of heaven" that the Temple pattern paints reveals that NO MAN [or animal] is allowed to go to heaven. Anyone who tried to enter into that sacred veiled Temple area, DIED. Jesus Christ [our faithful High Priest] who is presently in that heaven even tells us straight out:

"...NO MAN HATH ASCENDED UP TO HEAVEN, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of Man which is in heaven." (John 3:13)

Jesus Christ came from that heaven... and He returned to there as the High Priest of God's Faithful, to this very day.

If "no man" is allowed into the "third heaven"... certainly, no "animal" is... despite all the teachings of men to the contrary.

Jesus Christ is the "only man" who ever ascended up there. HE SAYS SO... whether anyone on earth believes Him, or not. And there aren't too many who seem to believe Him.

At least... that's according to the Bible.

Ecclesiastes : 3:21 Who knows the spirit of man, whether it goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, whether it goes downward to the earth?"

The inspiration for the novella by Robert Silversberg 'Downward to the Earth'.

AnswerActually, apart from that one verse in Ecclesiastes, that has been taken out of context (and has a totally different meaning IN context!) there is more evidence that animals ARE in 'heaven' (or whatever it would be called) than not.

A prime example of this would be in the promises of a new heaven and a new earth, where we are told 'the lion shall lie down with the lamb' indicating that, in heaven, there are animals too, but that their instinct to hunt and killare nolonger necessary.

No where in the Bible does it explicitly say that animals don't go to heaven. This is simply one side of the debate. Many people think animals don't go to heaven because they believe animals don't have souls like humans and therefore, they die when their body dies. But again, there is no scripture to fully back this argument up. When arguing this point, people often use verses from the passage in Genesis about Creation that prove man's superiority over the animals of the earth and conclude that since we are superior, animals must not have souls and therefore don't go to heaven. While this could be true, it is more of an assumption than an infallible argument.

The Scripture never mentions any animal ascending into the 3rd Heaven - Throne of God. In fact you would probably be surprised to learn that no one - human - has ascended into this Heaven except Jesus:

John 3:13New King James Version (NKJV)

13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.

The Bible teaches that after the Great White Throne Judgement, the Earth and physical Universe will be purged clean by the ever growing Lake of Fire (see 2 Peter 3:10-12) and a new Heaven and New Earth will become the future home of the God Family (see Revelation 21 all).
