Diwali is celebrated throughout India and by many Indians around the world.

By hindus homes as well

Divali means '' row of lamps'' in swihilli.These lamps are made out of clay and filled with oil to signify the tryumph of good over evil within an individual.
Diwali is celebrated in Hindu homes. Partakers tidy & clean their homes to welcome their god, Mother Lakshmi, who likes a clean house. Outside in the yard deyas are lit- which ties back to the meaning of Diwali: The Festival of lights. There's also the exchange of gifts and treats at Diwali parties and dinners in the house itself.
Diwali is celebrated by people at their work places and also in their homes by lighting of earthern lamps, now a days, candles and electric lights with worship of Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of all kinds of riches (money is just one, education is another). After the worship of Lakshmi, people indulge in lighting fire works and this goes on till midnight.
Diwali is celebrated in India and can be celebrated in other countries as well.
