Le coq sportif details?

Le Coq Sportif is an internationally recognized French sporting goods brand distributed throughout the globe. Created in 1882 by the Camuset family, the company first developed its savoirfaire in the hosiery business. This type of activity, which consists of weaving cotton, was the bedrock of Le Coq Sportif products. Starting in 1948 Le Coq Sportif became a distinctive brand with the first visible logos in the history of sport. In 1951 Le Coq Sportif became the exclusive textile supplier for the Tour de France. A few years later in 1960, the company clothed all of the French athletes for the Olympic Games in Rome. Throughout its history the brand has known a number of successes associated with major sporting events and sports celebrities who have left their mark on the world of sport including Arthur Ashe, Yannick Noah, Michel Platini, Bernard Hinault or Jean-Pierre Rives. In October 2005 Airesis became Le Coq Sportif's majority shareholder and immediately set about relaunching the brand based on a return to its roots.
