I drive both a 1989 and a 1993 F-150 with the straight six engine. I am not familiar with your year model, and you didn't specify which engine is in your truck. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by temperature "control" sensor, so for this answer, I'll have to assume that you're referring to the temperature "SENDING UNIT" sensor. On both of my trucks, the temperature SENDING UNIT is located approximately at the center of the right side of the block, above the starter, and below the exhaust manifold. On my vehicles, it is VERY difficult to get to, and without removing the right front wheel, I work on it by "feel." The best way for me has been to lie underneath, and reach up and over the starter. By the way, it looks [and feels] like a very small sparkplug [about 1/2 inch diameter, and about 3/4s long].
The coolant temperature sensor on a 2001 Toyota RAV4 is located on the exhaust manifold. It is on the driver's side of the manifold.
The 2001 Pontiac sun fire speed control sensor is located on the front passenger wheel. The sensor can be found on the inside of the rotor.
The 2001 Nissan Frontier coolant temperature sensor is located on the front of the engine. The sensor will be a few inches above the thermostat housing.
It does not have a fuel temp sensor.
The 2001 Lexus coolant temperature sensor can be found on the front of the engine. The coolant temperature sensor will be in the vicinity of the thermostat housing.
water temperature sensor located near steering colum..
The coolant temperature sensor on a 2001 Ram is next to the thermostat housing, behind the alternator.
The termostat housing
located at the bottom of radiator
There are several temperature sensors on a 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo. A temperature sensor for outside temperature is located near the passenger side wheel underneath the vehicle. A manifold temperature sensor is located in the manifold. There is also an air temperature sensor in the hose that leads from the air filter to the motor. Still another temperature sensor is the thermostat in the upper radiator hose near the water pump.
The 2001 Infinity intake valve timing control position sensor is located on the back and of the head. The sensor should be labeled as such.
Speed Sensor The sensor is located on the rear axle housing.
