Where is the Olympic Sailing held?
In the 2012 Olympics, the sailing will be at Weymouth. Lucky I'm about 10 mins walk from the beach :)

1952 - Helsinki, Finland
Sailing was introduced to the Olympics at the 1900 Games in Paris. It was not contested in the 1904 Games but came back in 1908 and has been at each Summer Olympics since. The… United States has won the most sailing medals (57) in the Olympics and Great Britain has won the most gold medals (20).
The Summer Olympics were held in Montreal, Quebec in 1976. The Winter Olympics were held in Calgary, Alberta in 1988 and in 2010 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
That depends on how much wind there is and the class, a 49er will do a much larger course in strong winds than in light winds, and a 49er will do a larger course than a Laser …simply because the 49er is faster. Also, it does depend on the race committee because some are known to set huge courses and some smaller, for more intense racing. There is no set course distance for olympic sailing

There were no Winter Olympics in 2009. The Olympics are only held on even numbered years. The last Winter Olympics took place in Turin, Italy in 2006. The 2010 Winter Olympics… are currently being held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
held in Paris
2008- (this year) Beijing, China 2010- (Winter) Vancouver, Canada 2012- (Summer) London, England
The Winter Olympics have been held in Canada twice: Calgary, Alberta in 1988; Vancouver, British Columbia in 2010.
The the Olympics are held every 4 years. The next Olympics are due to be held in London in 2012
At Olympia in Elis in southern Greece.
Basicly, all the boats are given either a 5 minute or 10 minute warning until the start of the race, when the start gun goes, they all must be behind the line and then s…tart going as fast as they can round the course. Naturally the first one round wins the race, a number of races are done and usually the worst two results are 'discarded' or ignored from the score sheets to give people who had one or two bad races a chance. The winner with the lowest points (one point for first, two for second... a retirement-dont finish the race- is last place plus 1) wins a gold medal and goes home happy.
because it is a famous country in europe
While the Olympics are very exciting and highly anticipated, they are also huge and difficult to plan. In addition, the fact that they are held less often heightens this sense… of anticipation as well as their prestige.
It hasn't been decided yet but will be on September 7th 2012. The contenders are Istanbul, Tokyo and Madrid :)
The 2004 Olympics were held in Athens, Greece.
