well i just found out on my 98 mountaineer it does not have a pcv valve it has a pcv vent which is located on the back side of the motor i hope this helps I can't find it either, but the auto parts store listos one, so I'd assume it's there somewhere I have a 00 V8 and it is on the left (driver) side follow the large vacuum hose. And it is an EXTREME pain in the butt. But its back there on the head
