3000 rpm is red line. Red line is about 3000 rpm,
for same power diesel engine produces more torque @ less rpm whereas petrol engine produces less torque @more rpm this difference is due to different combustion processes of diesel and petrol
For an NPR the rpm sensor is located left rear of engine by the frame rail. Its actually the engine speed per service manual but when you need to replace the sensor the parts department calls it the rpm sensor. Good luck.
