The 2004 Camry has the ambient air temperature sensor mounted in the lower grill on the driver's side. Look for something with wires.
We had the same problem and we were told by the dealer that it was because the ambient temperature sensor was shorting out?!? Since we had that problem fixed we've also had the problem of our passenger-side headlight working intermittently and this morning both headlights wouldn't work.
Open circuit. The overhead console has lost its connection to the ambient temperature sensor.
Where is the temperature sensor located on a 2004 duramax diesel?
I have a 2004 Trailblazor and the sensor is just to the right of the hood latch behind the front grill near the top. It is a small box like shape with two wires plugged into it.
The ambient air temp sensor on a 2004 Dodge Neon is located at the front of the car, year the headlights. It receives fresh air rather than heated air from the engine for the most accurate readings.
The temperature sensor on a 2004 Neon 2.0 engine is located on the driver side of the engine below the cam sensor.
The Ambient Temperature Sensor is located on the Passenger Side of the Grill. Look through the Grill near the Head light, you will see a black louvered panel. Behind the panel you will see the sensor sticking out. It is a black plastic knob looking thing with threads on it. If you pop off the grill, you can reach through the top and where the grill used to be, to remove it. Be careful not to break off the plastic tabs that hold the sensor into its socket.
Usually ambient sensors are located in front of the radiator.
In my 2004 GMC Canyon, the ambient light sensor is mounted at the right side of the dashboard. It is mounted below the dashboard and has a lens on the surface so that it can measure the ambient light that reaches the sensor through the windshield.
The sensor is located in the front of the vehicle. On my trailblazer it is just behind the grill on the drivers side. You can't miss it.
