"Under the back seat" Clarification to previous answer.
Actually, the fuel pump is mounted in the top of the fuel tank, located under the back seat. The fuel pump does have a filter screen that may need to be replaced if the care has been setting and the fuel has becomes old (varnished) or if bad fuel (water or sediment) has been added.
The actual fuel filter is under the hood, driver's side fender well, under the recirculation canister.
It is best to jack up the car on the driver's side, remove the front wheel, to give the best access to the in-line fuel filter.
