If you mean the air conditioner, back of the passenger side under the hood by the firewall.
True, just the line pressure is lower!
You have to change the line, too much pressure to do anything else.

With the filter, some people say that 6 1/2 qts. and mine takes 7 qts. to get to the full line.
Don't know of one on- line but your local Lincoln-Ford dealer might make a copy of the page for you in the parts department, mine has done it before for a tranmission diagram, it's worth a try, that's if you have one close.
Check the crank sensor. This what happened on my 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII.
Larger line from A/C compressor is the low pressure line
its built into the liquid line(high pressure) it is half metal half black plastic goes to condenser pass side
Drivers side of the transmission, remove the electrical connection, remove two bolts, and remove. Make sure the line on the switch is lined up before bolting it up.

If it's a 97 to 98 then it's probably the Blend Door actuator that is broken. If it's the first generation Mark, 93-96 check the vacuum line under the hood that goes across the intake manifold towards the back of the motor, blend door actuator broken, heater core shot.
