∙ 13y agoThe original film was shot in and around Blairstown, NJ and Hope, NJ, and "Camp Crystal Lake" was in actuality Camp NoBeBoSco in Hardwick Township, NJ. As far as I know, it's still there to this day. On a side note, the low-budget sexploitation film "Mother's Day" was shot on the other side of the lake at the same time that they were filming this.
