Best Answer

when pressure increases in compressor side than turbine side in turbo then a waste gate is opened and allows the exhaust to bypass through exhaust pipe until both side pressure not comes equal. As the result intake pressure reduced.

wastegate

What component regulates the pressure in a turbocharger?

Pressure in a turbocharger is regulated by various components such as exhaust gas pressure, condition of blower and impeller blades, condition of gas passage on suction and exhaust side, condition of air filters, closing and opening timings of exhaust and inlet valves.

Which component uses the force of engine exhaust to force the compressed air and fuel into the engine.?

A turbocharger.

What is the difference between a pulse system and a constant pressure turbocharger?

Types of turbochargers Turbochargers are of two types and they are pulse and constant pressure type turbocharger. Pulse type turbocharger: In pulse type turbocharger, the exhaust gas directly enters the turbine side and drives the turbine with the exhaust gas energy. The connection from the exhaust side of an engine is directly connected to the turbine side of a turbo charger. The pipe connections from the exhaust gas towards the turbine side are generally small in length and exhaust grouping is provided to prevent the blowback of gases from one cylinder to another. Constant pressure type turbocharger: In constant pressure type turbocharger, the exhaust gases gets collected in a single exhaust gas reservoir, where the pressure is maintained constant so as to avoid any fluctuation in the exhaust gas energy pressure. The exhaust gas is introduced to the turbine side after maintaining the pressure inside the cylinder. Materials: Turbine and compressor blades: Steel or nickel alloy. Volute casing: cast iron Bearings: steel or gun metal.

What Limits the turbocharger output?

Exhaust temp has an effect on the output of a turbocharger cooler the exhaust the better performance you get.

What drives a turbocharger?

A turbocharger is driven by the energy in the exhaust gasses from the engine.

What uses the flow of exhaust gasses out of the engine to pressurize the air entering the intake manifold?

a turbocharger uses exhaust gas to spin an impeller that boost atmospheric pressure and feeds it into engine

Difference between turbocharger and supercharger?

A turbocharger is driven by the exhaust from the engine. A supercharger is belt driven off the engine.

What is the main difference between turbocharger and supercharger?

A "Turbocharger" is driven by exhaust gas. A "Supercharger" is driven mechanically by the engine.

What spins the turbocharger on a diesel engine?

The flow of exhaust gasses

Can a turbo on a eclipse blow the motor?

If boost pressure is too high or intercooling fails or if the turbocharger seizes causing excessive exhaust backpressure, then yes, very easily.

What is a a turbocharger?

is a centrifugal compressor powered by a turbine which is driven by an engine's exhaust gases.
