These countries were neutral during the Second World War:

  • Eire (Republic if Ireland)
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • Spain
  • Afghanistan
  • Portugal

Denmark was officially neutral but was occupied by Germany throughout the war.

Some countries in the Americas remained neutral until the closing few months of the war. These included Chile and Argentina

Also you can add Andorra, Guatemala, Liechtenstein, Saudi Arabia and Yemen to the list.

While the Northern Irish fought on the Allied side, the remainder of Ireland stayed neutral.

Answer: South American Countries like Peru, Cuba etc, Switzerland, Iceland,Portugal,Spain (In Europe), Nepal, Bhutan (Near China-India border).

This list is not totally exhaustive and these are some of the countries I know. Countries like India was a colony of Britain during that time (It was independent after 1947.) were not included in this list.

In 1944, however, there were still several nations in Europe that bordered active fronts without giving up their neutrality; most notably, Spain, Switzerland, and Sweden. There was no such group of persistent neutrals in the Pacific Theater of Operations in the same year.

Germany IS a country. Germany was not neutral. There were countries in Europe that were netural, such as Switzerland.
