well I've seen cameras from 3.2 mega pixels to 144 mega pixels, but they may not be "available". so i wouldn't count on finding one of those in your local electronic store.
Hasselblad has the highest megapixel camera on the market. With a megapixel of 39, it is at the top of it's class!
The Seitz 6x17 Digital seems to have the highest megapixel count.
6530 MegaPixels, or just 6.53 GigaPixels!!!! to think the average camera is around 5 or 6 MegaPixels
The Cannon Powershot S3 digital camera has 6 megapixels to take pictures with. However, what this camera lacks in megapixels, it makes up in its various features including 12X zoom.
TRUE
For high quality pictures look for a camera with at least 8 megapixels.
A measure of resolution that reflects the ability of a digital camera to record detail. The more megapixels a camera has the more detail its images can contain and the more they can be enlarged without losing clarity. More megapixels aren't always necessary, however. Comparing digital cameras all depends on what you are looking for in a camera. Try comparing the megapixels on the camera. The higher the megapixel, the better the picture it will produce.
Fermilab just came out with a digital camera with a resolution of 500 megapixels, but it is a one-of-a-kind that is being attached to a telescope in Chile for use in Fermilab's Dark Energy Survey project. For most people 7 to 12 megapixels is plenty.
A camera phone normally does not have as good of a lens as a digital camera and most do not have flash. They also have less resolution (lower megapixels) than a real digital camera. Their pictures are OK, but not great.
it dosent have a CMOS sensor (like digital camera), therefore you can't determine how many megapixels there are.
The price range of a digital camera can vary depending on the megapixels it has. It can be anywhere from å£50-1000. The smaller more lightweight cameras tend to cost more, and the higher the megapixels, the higher the price.
