There isn't really much evidence that I can find that they do any good whatsoever. Having said that, I use one, because I would like to believe that investing a few bucks ever few months might give me something in return, but I use one from Lucas, which is about 5 bucks for the one-tank size, but only about 9 bucks for a quart.

There really aren't any additives needed in car engines in today's world. Engines are designed so precisely that they use fuel extremely efficiently. Even the use of "dry gas" isn't really necessary anymore because of the 10% ethanol content. The only thing I would suggest is, after 50,000 , have the fuel injection system serviced and cleaned by a reputable mechanic. The chemicals used are specifically designed for that purpose and that purpose only.
