ok, first of all mitosis only happens in asexual reproduction. In mitosis the parent cell divides into two daughter cells with the extract genetic make up hence creating a clones. This is more in depth explanation but in a summary, the parent cell before it divide, each chromosome produces a replica of itself. the replica is called chromatids. The chromatids now line across the middle of the cell. finally the cell splits across the middle and the chromatids become the chromosomes of the daughter cells.

hope this information some what helps you, well based on the above you can pin point the relevant information to help yourself. If not hope you find what your looking for else where.

How many divisions occur in meiosis?

Meiosis does in fact divide twice, once in meiosis I (cytokinesis) and meiosis II (cytokinesis) basically it divides into four daughter cells at the end of meiosis. Two from meiosis I and four in meiosis II
