The royal Box is the seating area reserverd for the Queen of England and her guests.

When the Queen is not attending a performance (and has no guests listed), then Royal box tickets can be sold to the general public.

Ticket prices are expensive because the location of the Royal Box is supposedly the best view and best acoustic position in the hall - although this is debatable depending on the kind of performance featured
