You just plug you tv in to the poroject with A/V cables (red, yellow, white) also called composite, Component HD (red, green, blue) or Svideo. You can get cable coax to svideo conectors if needed. Once connected turn on tv source be it cable box direct cable or antena (?) then turn on your projector and go through the input selection until your tv shows up on the Screen. Of course if you know what input method you have your TV pluged into just select that. If it doesn't show up check cables and repeat.
An hdmi cable helps to project the best quality picture and sound. They outperform component cables and all new tvs are made with hdmi ready components built in to their sets.

An RCA cable with composite video is better than standard definition cable. An RCA cable set (3 cables) can also carry a component video signal, which can be Hugh definition up to 1080p. Cable television can also carry a high definition signal if you have a HD cable box or a TV with a digital tuner. For connecting a VCR, an RCA composite video cable will give a better picture than the RF antenna cable.
Look on the side or the back of your machine for a SVIDEO out port. If it has...buy the SVIDEO out cable that connects to your TV's or projector's RCA-in. You can also buy what is called a VGA adapter. This is a much better device as it is a multi-port device and it plugs into your VGA port of your machine...normally blue in color where you connect a monitor to) on the side or back of machine. The VGA adapter connects VGA-in and RCA-out to TV or projector. Both these items are available.
