they are your transmission cooler. doesen,t matter on the flow of those because they are on the bottom

Atoz radiator doesn't have a drain plug. The only way to drain the coolant by removing its bottom radiator hose
The thermostat connects to the top radiator hose on a 1996 Toyota Corolla. The bottom radiator hose connects to the water pump.
There should be a drain plug on the bottom of the radiator, I believe the plug is white.

At the front of the engine compartment - there are 2 large rubber hoses that connect the radiator to the engine and water pump - one at the top of the radiator on one end and a second hose from the bottom of the radiator at the other end
