They were mediums and played an important role in the founding of the modern Spiritualist movement and church in the 1800's. Spiritualism (or Spiritism) is the belief that our consciousness continues to exist after death and that the deceased can communicate with the living through a psychic medium, to deliver messages or revelations from the afterlife.
Today the most well-known 'psychic sisters' are most probably the twins Terry and Linda Jamison in the USA. They are most famous for their predictions of the 9/11 World Trade Center terrorist attacks, the Pentagon attacks, and the May 2000 Stock Market crash which were made on international radio on November 2,1999. There are currently also several other pairs of well-known psychic sisters, such as the identical twins Chinhee and Sunhee Park, Linda West and Jolene Paterson, Deborah Herman and Brenda Frazier, as well as Colleen and Mary who are based in Perth, Australia.
