∙ 15y agoClose family and loved ones wished the body well. The body would be cremated and thrown into a river, so the funeral would usually take place on a funeral pyre near a river. Hindus believed that the River Ganges was a great place to throw ashes as they believed that if you were thrown in the Ganges, you might get Moksha.
