a L"eglise ( In the Church) they would use all the Religious or traditional Christmas carols such as Silent Night , O Holy Night (which was originally French), Adestes Fideles, Joy to the World, the usual Religious bit. I am not aware of any secular French Christmas songs, though it has been argued that ( I will follow Him) original title ( Chariot)- which also means a fork lift truck ( Char is tank- in the sense of military vehicle and is derived directly from Chariot!) I don"t know if they have any indigenous (Chansons de Noel) or- yes, of course Noel- which means Christmas in French. I like the Russian Ortho (Parody) was to certain field agents of N.K. V Day, In fields where they lay, keeping their Jeep, sorry half=track won"t rhyme it was so steep- then some stretched sylabbics of the name of the Grand Duchess, and Reborn Czarine of U S S R. sure beats Israel- don"t call out the Marines- been following horrific headlines!

as .A. Christmas is a religious holiday- and there are plenty of Churches and choirs in France- I can mentally image the famed Rheims Cathedral (Once a Knight is enough!) the Battle of Rheims was fought nearby in l429- well battles aside- they would use alol of the latin-based religious Christmas carols. I seem to recall ( do you see what I see) as it was recorded by Robert Goulet, might be of French origins.
