The Treaty of Versailles was a treaty attended by all victorious nations of the Great War (Except for Russia as they were in the middle of a civil war). It was to sort out what would happen to Germany as they were blamed of starting the Great War. The main contributes (Nicknamed "The Big Three") were French premier Georges Clemenceau of France, British prime minister David Lloyd George of Great Britain, and President Woodrow Wilson of the United States of America.

The treaty of Versailles mainly benefitted France. Germany was the least benefitted as she did not get anything she wanted. France however, got money from the reparations, were no longer scared of Germany's army, got more land to benefit their colony etc.

Britain also benefitted, however Lloyd George was not overly happy with the Treaty as he felt it was too harsh and it ruined Germany and Britains trading.

Hope that helps

Germany, for them to accept responsibility for the war, pay reparations, give one million square miles of land, and to limit its armed forces.
