What is a true love?

true love for me is deeply caring for the other person, how they feel, helping them out, sharing tasks...letting them know they're loved, never trying to hurt them on purpose, giving them space if they need it or are tired, sharing their interests, having fun and joking around, listening to their stories with attention, sharing hard times, being very affectionate, independent, telling them by actions and words they are cherished, listening during disagreements, both sides trying to change if necessary...you feel uplifted when you're around the other person, can't wait to see them, want to do little things for each other (ie: make them breakfast in bed or do some small task as a present once in a while), enjoy their company, want to share by just being together and hugging while watching a show, or having a good talk...planning enjoyable things for the future...letting down your guard and really feeling...taking an interest in them...knowing some day neither of you will exist, holding them in your heart.

Whether you are religious or not, I Corinthians chapter 13 in The Bible defines real love very well. It helps anyone distiguish between true love and abusive love. You can look up any Bible verse on the internet. It states things like, "Love is patient, kind, unselfish, etc."

true love means that no matter what u do that person will love u for who u are. that person trusts you and cares for you. he/she doesn't treat u like just a trophy . He is never rude or selfish. he doesn't take pride in your imperfections. u are primary.
