Hi there I've just incountered some helpful guides on making ferrofluid: http://www.instructables.com/id/Make-your-own-ferrofluid-in-5-minutes http://www.physics.rutgers.edu/cyclotron/images/press_physics_today/Cyclotron.pdf http://chemistry.about.com/od/demonstrationsexperiments/ss/liquidmagnet.htm http://www.sci-spot.com/Chemistry/liqimag.htm
It was made by accident because a random scientist justb mixed vegetable oil and laser jet tonet developer together and tested it out with magnets and got ferrofluid.
No because it condenses
Liquid ferrofluid becomes strongly magnetized in the presence of a magnetic field. Ferrofluids can be found in the following areas: Electronic devices, Mechanical engineering, Aerospace, Analytical instrumentation, Medical applications, Heat transfer, Optics, and even Art.
Yes when you mix 50ml. of toner with 2 table spoons of vegetable oil it makes ferrofluid which is a magnetic liquid.
eBay. Sounds unusual but you get some really good deals on here. 25ml for about £10. You'll struggle to find it cheaper. High grade stuff too

No, it is absolutely not, but it's hard to believe. It's called ferrofluid (ferro = iron = magnetic) see related link. Supposedly, Cadillac has been using it for a while in their shocks. They can use electromagnets to control how stiff the suspension is. Pretty cool!
Ferrofluids are attracted to magnets, so there would probably be a pull on your body. You wouldn't be likely to feel it, though as you would be very messed up by having your blood composition altered!
